Going on a trip to Melbourne (Part 8)

We went back to our lodge.

Then we walked to a nearby supermarket-“Coles”.

On the way to the Coles, we lost our way.

But a middle aged man drinking outside of a pub told us the right way.

The Coles we dropped in was more spacious than Japanese average supermarkets.

And they have a wide assortment of merchandise.

But they had a limited selection of Japanese food.

Those Japanese food were expensive as I had expected.

At our lodge, we took a shower.

There are a lot of good points in foreign culture.

But when it comes to bath, I like Japanese bath very much.

I wonder why overseas shower nozzles are fixed above our head. 目exclamation&question

Going on a trip to Melbourne (Part 7)

We weren’t able to have a meal at the food court.

So instead, we decided to make some sandwiches.

We bought some slices of roast beef, cheese and bread.

I had heard that it’s natural to ask discounts at markets.

But I wasn’t able to do so because I’m a timid person.

After moving to Southbank, we walked through the Melbourne Walks number 4 “on the waterfront” having those self-made sandwiches. 夜

Those were really delicious.

A lot of birds edged up to us.

There was a famous café -“Blue Train Cafe” there. 喫茶店

So I ordered a flat white I had wanted for taking away.

(Flat white is espresso with milk.)

Then we enjoyed the Fireball Flames at Crown Casino.

Going on a trip to Melbourne (Part 6)

As it was still early afternoon, we took a train from West Richmond Railway station to Flinders Street station.

It was interesting that we had to push the door button to open the door when getting on or off. バス

Then we took a tram to Queen Victoria Market.

We knew the stop name to get off.

But we didn’t have the feel of Melbourne.

So I asked the driver to tell us when the bus reached our destination.

However the driver ignored me.

It made me feel uneasy. (During the trip, other drivers were kind.)わーい(嬉しい顔)

We got Queen Victoria Market after 3 p.m.

Many stores and the food court we particularly wanted to go had been already closed.

Going on a trip to Melbourne (Part 5)

After putting our baggage in the closet, I phoned two tour companies to reconfirm full-day tours the next day and day after next. 電話

The next day tour’s reconfirmation was smooth.

But the other’s meeting place and time were changed unexpectedly. ダッシュ(走り出すさま)

We had checked the way to the original meeting place in Japan. ペン

But we weren’t familiar with the new meeting place.

So I asked the operator to pick us up at our lodge with my clumsy English.

But the operator said no. がく〜(落胆した顔)

The owner couldn’t bear to watch me in trouble, so he negotiated.

Finally, the operator accepted a bus would pick us up near the lodge.

And the owner said he would take us the pick-up point. ぴかぴか(新しい)
